The woman chosen to be executive director of the Biden administration’s new ‘Disinformation Governance Council’ is facing criticism for her political ideology and rejecting the legitimacy of Hunter Biden’s infamous laptop in the past.
Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas testified On Wednesday, a “Disinformation Governance Council” was recently created to combat online disinformation and Politico reported that Nina Jankowicz, who previously served as disinformation officer at the Wilson Center, will lead the council as executive director.

Jankowicz has already referred to Hunter Biden’s laptop, which has been authenticated by multiple outlets as a “product of the Trump campaign” and suggested it was a “Russian influence operation.”
Jankowicz tried to clarify her October 2020 tweet this week by saying she was simply live-tweeting a presidential debate.

Critics on social media lambasted the decision to appoint Jankowicz and expressed concern that she would not be an unbiased board director.
“Rather than policing our border, Homeland Security has decided to make surveilling Americans’ speech its top priority,” Republican Sen. Josh Hawley tweeted. “They’re creating a disinformation committee. No, really. And take a look at the opinions of the radical left who runs it.”
“Apparently this person is the new head of the Homeland Security Disinformation Governance Council,” Washington Free Beacon reporter Chuck Ross tweeted. “Republicans didn’t fund the Steele case.”

“I can’t make this up!!!” Conservative radio host Larry Elder tweeted. “Biden is setting up a ‘disinformation board’ headed by an 8-month-pregnant Russian expert who called Hunter’s laptop a ‘product of the Trump campaign’ and said she ‘shudders at the thought of it’. to think “ @Elon Musk take control @Twitter.”
Jankowicz did not immediately respond to a Fox News request for comment.
