BALTIMORE, MD — After a hiatus due to the pandemic, many cities are once again hosting traditional Independence Day activities. The 4th of July is right around the corner, so it’s time to experience the fireworks and 4th of July festivities in Baltimore in 2022.

We have all the fireworks shows, parades and festivals happening in and around the city, so you can start planning now.

Here is what awaits you this July 4 in Baltimore:

The Baltimore Office of Promotion & The Arts, the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra and the Baltimore Waterfront Partnership hosted a return of July 4 festivities in Baltimore Harbor, according to Visit Baltimore.

  • Starting at 3 p.m., there will be food and drink trucks, selfie stations and more at West Shore Park.
  • At 4 p.m., listen to the traditional performance of the Navy Band Commodores at the Inner Harbor Amphitheater. After the concert there will be street performers and activities along the promenade.
  • Baltimorean Wordsmith will offer a spoken word performance of “What to the Slave Is the Fourth of July?” of Frederick Douglass? at 7:30 p.m.
  • At 8 p.m., the BSO will host a Star-Spangled Celebration concert under the direction of assistant conductor Jonathan Rush. The full orchestra performance will culminate around 9:30 p.m. with a 13-minute fireworks display.

Other holiday activities include a game of Orioles at Camden Yards and AVAM’s annual Pet Parade.
