The Jackson County School Board is making changes to plans for a new middle school slated to open August of next year: Legacy Knoll Middle School, originally slated to accommodate 5th and 6th graders , will instead be for 6th, 7th and 8th graders. The board, which met this week in Jefferson, also approved plans for a new K-5 elementary school to be built on the freeway. 332 in Jackson County, slated to open in 2024.
