We were happy to be a part of the kickoff today on Let’s Chatt
CHATTANOOGA (WDEF) – The Salvation Army’s Chattanooga Regional Command kicked off the holiday season today.
The Hope Marches On fundraising campaign includes three different vacation programs that serve over 10,000 residents.
The event was televised this morning on News 12’s “Let’s Chatt” show with Chip Chapman.
While the number of families and people seeking help from The Salvation Army is down from LAST YEAR, it is still over 30% higher than before the pandemic.
The Angel Tree program filled up about a week after registration opened.
You can adopt Angels now online and at AT Hamilton Place and Northgate malls on Monday.
The program moves to Walmart Supercenters on November 15.
The volunteers are already working.

“I enjoy it more. The joy and love I feel is just… I was telling a story that one of the men who gave to one of our displaced citizens gave money from his pocket with all the leaves and garbage he picked up along the tracks and put it in the bucket. We’re here to help people like him, but he was willing to give what he had.
You will also be able to find the ringers of the Bouilloires Rouges in the coming days.
Volunteers are still needed for this program.
