Our Plan: “Putting Taxpayers First… For A Change”

With a projected $2.8 billion budget deficit, the best way to fix Connecticut is by fundamentally changing the way state government does business—and that starts by putting taxpayers first.

Our plan reduces the size of state government, balances the budget with no new taxes or debt, and eliminates the income tax for the hardest working individuals and families in Connecticut.

Putting Taxpayers First means setting achievable goals and explaining how we can get there.

Plan Goals:

1

Propose a balanced budget that reduces actual spending, funds mandated obligations and contains no new taxes

2

Preserve the two forms of tax relief built in to next year’s budget.

3

Eliminate the income tax for middle income taxpayers.

How We’ll Get There (or Getting There)

1
Propose a balanced budget that reduces actual spending, funds mandated obligations and contains no new taxes

2
Preserve the two forms of tax relief built in to next year’s budget.

3
Eliminate the income tax for middle income taxpayers.
